In early October, science invites curious minds of all ages to come together! Every year, the Fête de la Science brings the general public and the scientific community closer together through hundreds of events across France. This initiative was launched in 1991 by former Minister of Research Hubert Curien.
In 2025, the Science Festival invites the public to explore all forms of intelligence and to rethink what it means to be intelligent, beyond human boundaries.
With its rich and varied scientific expertise, UniLaSalle has mobilized to offer activities around this theme... and beyond!

Four workshops for young children
Conveying knowledge with passion to spark an interest in science and, why not, inspire future scientific careers. Through fun and interactive workshops, UniLaSalle aims to carry out its mission of popularizing science among schoolchildren. Several workshops have been offered for this purpose by UniLaSalle's teacher-researchers and scientific management.
- Workshop: “How do bees choose which flowers to pollinate?”
Perception of colors and shapes, learning about resource-rich flowers, using scent marks to avoid “empty” flowers, communication between workers... Bees develop all kinds of strategies for choosing which flowers to pollinate. The UniLaSalle Agrosciences College invites schoolchildren from the Beauvais region to discover these strategies.
UniLaSalle Beauvais Campus, Monday, October 6 to Friday, October 10
- Workshop: “Sensory Illusions”
Can we trick our brains by playing with our senses? That's the theme of this workshop organized by the Health College, which demonstrates that by deceiving one of the senses, we can change our perception of taste. Because yes, all our senses play a role in the perception of taste.
UniLaSalle Beauvais Campus, Monday, October 6 to Friday, October 10
- Workshop: “Exploratory Roots”
Are roots intelligent? That's what this workshop offered by the College of Agrosciences demonstrates. Through the information they gather about soil conditions, roots are able to adapt to their environment. This increases the chances of survival for the plant or tree.
UniLaSalle Beauvais campus, Monday, October 6 to Friday, October 10
- Workshop: “Feed your brain, become a genius thanks to your plate!”
Did you know that what you put on your plate can influence your memory, concentration, and even creativity? Through interactive workshops offered to middle and high schools, Maxime Pérot, director of the Agri-Food & Health Engineering program, accompanied by engineering students from this program, will show young people how to feed their brains to reveal their genius potential!
Friday, October 10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Simusanté, in Amiens.
