One Health approach: what are the practical applications in livestock farming?

“Human activity, increased population and animal movements combined with climate change are responsible for the increased occurrence of pandemics and zoonoses, with significant consequences for both public health and the local economy.

The ‘One Health’ approach bases itself on the interdependence between animal, human, plant and soil health to manage the spread of pandemics more efficiently. A close collaboration between the many stakeholders, and particularly those in the agricultural sector, will ensure that this 'One Health' approach is properly implemented.

For this reason, UniLaSalle and its European partners in the Livet project are pleased to invite you to a symposium on Thursday 23 January 2025 at UniLaSalle campus, on "The application in the agricultural field of the ‘One Health’ approach."

An overview will be given of the challenges, and tools and training being developed, with a view to implementing this approach in both local and European contexts. Interactive workshops will be held in the afternoon to encourage and enrich an exchange of ideas between participants. The event will be conducted in both English and French, with simultaneous translation available.
