Family farming and agri-food entrepreneurship & building sustainable territories
The ambition of the Alliance Agri Avenir Chair is to contribute to the development and perpetuation of family entrepreneurship to support the evolution of agricultural and agri-food sectors in their transitions towards sustainable territories.
At the heart of the subject are 4 questions:
- What is the future of family farming and agri-food entrepreneurship?
- What are the levers of sustainability and sustainable growth for this entrepreneurial model in these two sectors?
- What role does technological innovation play in sustainability, and what processes stimulate this innovation?
- What role do local authorities play in the sustainability and durability of family entrepreneurship in agriculture and agri-food?
OBJECTIVES OF THE CHAIR
Identify and study the factors behind the sustainability and growth of family businesses in the agricultural and agri-food sectors, in a context where innovation and entrepreneurship are key to the creation of sustainable territories.
RESEARCH TOPICS
- Transmission and takeover: Regulations and laws, processes, levers and obstacles, intergenerational trust, family or non-family setting;
- Innovation and subsidiaries: New agricultural practices, innovative production and marketing models, collaborative innovations, the role of digital technology;
- Organization and territories: Role of organizations, sectors and local authorities, support resources and measures, territorial anchoring.
HOW?
A multi-stakeholder collaborative space for reflection and knowledge creation, innovation and knowledge dissemination, building decision-making and advisory tools for all economic players in the agricultural and agri-food sectors.
