With a focus on sustainable development, research at UniLaSalle offers a wide variety of subjects for study in the earth, life, digital and environmental sciences. Each year, the various research units propose several thesis projects in line with these themes.
By preparing a thesis at UniLaSalle, the doctoral student will carry out his or her project with the support of the recognized expertise and cutting-edge infrastructures of the research units.
Doing a thesis at UniLaSalle
To be eligible to do a thesis at UniLaSalle, doctoral students must hold a Master's degree and enroll in the doctoral school to which their research unit is attached:
- the ED Normande de Biologie Intégrative, Santé, Environnement No. 497 (ED NBISE) at Normandy University, to which the following units are attached: AGYLE, INTERACT, and ECLORE (Beauvais Campus)
- the ED Matière Molécules et Matériaux doctoral school (No. 596) (ED 3M) at the University of Rennes 1 and the École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Rennes (ENSCR), to which the ECLORE unit is attached
- the doctoral school ED Sciences pour l'Ingénieur n° 71 at UTC, to which the following units are attached: INTERACT (Beauvais Campus), ECLORE (Beauvais Campus), GeNumEr (digital team)
- the ED Sciences, Technologie et Santé doctoral school No. 585 (ED STS) at the University of Picardie Jules Verne, to which the following units are attached: AGHYLE, IDEALISS (Beauvais Campus) and GeNumEr
How can I finance my thesis?
Several schemes and grant systems have been set up, at both national and regional levels, to support doctoral training.
The CIFRE (Convention Industrielle de Formation par la Recherche) enables doctoral students to benefit from full funding of their thesis by the company employing them. The doctoral student's time is divided between the company and the host laboratory.
Doctoral students can also finance their thesis with public or private funds:
- A European grant
- A grant from a foreign country (for example, in the case of a bilateral Franco-foreign agreement)
- Ministry grant
- A regional grant
- ADEME grant
- A grant from a foundation, association or local authority
- Private co-financing
- A 100% private grant
