Background and objectives
The aim of this project is to create a multi-partner exchange network to support the development of the use of robotics in the field, and more specifically via its integration within agricultural machinery cooperatives (CUMA).
Project actions
The implementation of the network will enable :
- Sharing the state of the art: identifying “suppliers”, existing technologies and those under development.
- Characterize the needs of farmers and their groups, and formalize the expression of these needs within the agricultural sectors of Normandy.
- Ultimately, this project should lead to the launch of a new operational project. This will involve :
- Equip farmers working in representative agricultural sectors in Normandy (a priori milk, flax, vegetables) and belonging to a CUMA with robots;
- Carry out trials, with field users (employees, farmers, experimental farm), of existing solutions or those under development;
- Participate in the co-development of robots adapted to field farming conditions (robustness and safety) within farmers' cooperatives.
