In a few words
Since 2007, UniLaSalle has been regularly carrying out hydrogeological and hydrogeophysical measurements to characterize the geometry of the Beauvais chalk aquifer (Picardy), as well as its behavior and evolution. The approach used for this monitoring is multidisciplinary: piezometric readings and meteorological measurements, complemented by subsurface geophysical measurements (electrical, seismic refraction) and logging. Since June 2014 the HydrISE research team has been carrying out "Proton Magnetic Resonance Soundings (PMS)" to estimate water content, transmissivity and permeability.
