UniLaSalle and the Avril Group continue their partnership around the teaching and research chair “Transmission and Innovation: Rethinking generational renewal in livestock farming.”
On Tuesday, in the aisles of SPACE 2025 (International Livestock Show), the sponsorship agreement between the Avril Group and the UniLaSalle Polytechnic Institute was renewed.
This partnership, initiated in 2021 and focusing on changes in the livestock sector and societal challenges, has enabled an initial phase of work to be carried out and a report to be drawn up explaining the difficulties of transmission: access to financing is a major obstacle.
The chair “Transmission and Innovation: Rethinking Generational Renewal in Livestock Farming” is committed to exploring possible solutions, reconciling adaptation, innovation, and food sovereignty in order to guarantee a future for the animal sectors and their territories.
“Ensuring that we still have farmers tomorrow is a priority. We are already taking a number of measures, but they are not enough. We need to reinvent ourselves, and the Chair will provide us with the space to do so.”
Christophe LE BARS – CEO of Avril Group
The creation of a living lab, a participatory research facility that places stakeholders at the heart of animal production and societal concerns (particularly in the design of future tools), will bring together farmers, financial players, and industrialists.
By funding this teaching and research chair, the Avril Group is reaffirming its power to act through the expression of its raison d'être: “Serving the Earth.”
For its part, UniLaSalle is continuing its commitment, through its research in the service of businesses, sectors, and territories, to build, together, a more humane, fairer, and more sustainable world.
