Integrated Master Geosciences & Environment

In the 1^st semester, you’ll enjoy your very first international experience: Go LaSalle!

You’ll spend a semester at a partner university in the La Salle network.

The goal? To open your mind to other cultures and ways of thinking.

Have you just joined the Agri-Food, Nutrition & Health Engineering program at UniLaSalle through a parallel admission process? Instead, you’ll benefit from refresher courses and an 8-week international internship in November–December to help you integrate into your class.

In the second semester, your courses will equip you with a wide range of technical skills and the tools of the trade for geologists.

Management and international perspectives, business strategy, QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment)... By the end of this semester, you will have acquired all the cross-disciplinary skills an engineer needs.

This semester also offers an opportunity to deepen your knowledge of geosciences, particularly in subsurface geological exploration, geomatics, and data modeling, as well as project management in an international setting.

In May, you will spend a week hiking through the Alps to map a geological cross-section (the transect).

Based on field observations of various outcrops, you will be asked to piece everything together to “reconstruct” the geological history of the Alps.

The goal of this field trip is to develop your ability to synthesize information.

You choose one of the specialization tracks offered within the Geological Engineering program.

Taught in Beauvais, these tracks are divided into three main areas:

• Land Use Planning and the Environment
• Sustainable Mineral Resources
• Geo-Energy, Climate Risks, and Territories (track taught in English)

In your 4th year, you’ll spend two weeks in the field in the Massif Central or the Baronnies region of Provence.

The goal of this fieldwork is to develop your skills as a future manager while working alongside less experienced geologists.

Your mission? To supervise the integrated preparatory program students who are tasked with mapping an area.

UniLaSalle offers you the opportunity to enrich your academic experience with an “off-campus” experience at a partner institution in France or abroad.

This can take the form of:

• a one-semester study abroad program during your 4th or 5th year
• a dual degree program in France or abroad

The “Engineering Assistant” Internship (4 months) 

At the end of your fourth year, you will complete an engineering assistant internship at a company or institutional organization, where you will carry out technical and operational tasks.

This internship will help you become more independent, adapt to a professional environment, and develop your analytical skills.

The end-of-study internship (6 months) 

The end-of-studies internship is the final step in your engineering education: a true professional immersion where you will lead a real-world project addressing a business challenge.

You will put the knowledge you’ve gained in school into practice and develop your management, communication, and teamwork skills.

This internship will allow you to showcase your expertise, build confidence, and prepare with confidence for your entry into the professional world.

It concludes with the writing and defense of your final thesis.
