In the small world of science communication, there is one festival that has really made a name for itself. Created by two British researchers, Dr. Michael Motskin and Dr. Praveen Paul, Pint of Science has won over the general public with a simple concept: “What if we took science and scientists out of the lab and into the bars?”
Popularization is essential to giving everyone the opportunity to understand the world around them. Combating misinformation, inspiring vocations by awakening scientific culture, and strengthening ties with society are among the important missions entrusted to scientists.
At UniLaSalle, strengthening this link between science and society is a priority. We are happy and proud to contribute, in our own small way, to disseminating some of the work carried out on our research platforms through an event as accessible and friendly as Pint of Science. The experience was particularly appreciated by our Lasallian speakers.

"I was delighted to take part in Pint of Science. It was a great opportunity to share our work in a friendly and stimulating atmosphere with a very curious audience. The presentation allowed me to introduce the four campuses and the research carried out within the AGHYLE unit. I also had questions from parents about our programs and our close ties with people working in the agricultural sector."
Wassila Riah-Anglet, Rouen

“The evening went very well. The discussions with participants were of a very high standard, and everyone showed remarkable interest. I think this exercise is an excellent initiative for raising awareness of the school and promoting our research topics to the general public.”
